#ItWorks! Finding a Beauty Advice that Works. My May 2018 Beauty Favorites.
I'd like to share a story with you.
As a beauty enthusiast, I find myself looking for new products all the time. I made some reflection following my several visits to cosmetics stores and truly realized just how many options there are currently for women. It can be easy to get lost in this space!
And I thought to myself:
I would love to see more effective beauty recommendations online.
In reality, how often do we find one that actually works? Indeed, there are countless beauty recommendations online. But at the same time, only a tiny proportion of them will lead us to a beauty product of our dreams.
We all deserve an honest beauty advice.
We need to enjoy more moments when we know that money was well spent on a beauty product that delivered its promise.
Upon this realization, I decided that I should continue sharing with you my beauty favorites on the blog. For me it goes without saying that a beauty review is based on the real experience and me actually seeing the product work.
In this post I'm sharing with you my May 2018 beauty favorites. The post is not sponsored.
#1 Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask by The Bodyshop
You possibly already know about my love for matcha. I was always curious about using it topically knowing about its detoxifying properties. And gladly I found this beauty product, which I now use when I have my matcha cravings & when I need a quick pampering act for my skin.
What it does: purifies, detoxifies your skin.
What I love about it: a short time period to purify, not over-drying, skin feels clarified & fresh after
How I use it: leave it on for 3-4 min. Wash off completely. Follow up with a hydrating product.
#2 Cucumber & Sage Facial Cleansing Towelettes by Burt's Bees
Love me some cucumbers! Cucumbers + sage combination will help clarify your skin. In the hot weather, when my skin tends to become more oily, I feel that it is a much needed thing.
What it does: cleanses
What I love about it: leaves my skin fresh & does not irritate it. the smell is pleasant
How I use it: use it as a very first step of facial cleansing, followed by further cleansing of course
#3 Thai Makrut Lime Firming Oil, SPA OF THE WORLD by The Body Shop
My love for body oils is never ending. And when I find a natural oil - then I know I am doing good for my skin. I love to use body oil especially in the summer time.
This product I saw first in the magazine and got intrigued.
What it does: hydrates, without being "too oily"
What I love about it: the scent that is not overwhelming but pleasant, the fact that it consists mainly of natural ingredients
How I use it: it is so good to apply on skin right after the shower. it is refreshing! BTW, this is actually a massage oil...So massage yourself freely after the shower & a scrubbing ritual :)
#4 Aurora Illuminating Mask by OOZOO Bear
Wow! This tissue mask has worked wonders. It is a 2-step mask: but the process is uncomplicated.
What it does: gives glow and real skin hydration
What I love about it: it is a rare example of a sheet mask that works. however, from my experience, the results are best seen the following day. it also contains one my favorite ingredients that is actually proven to remove/reduce wrinkles & give glow: hyaluronic acid
How I use it: I use it the evening. it is important to note because this is not a kind of mask that will give glow the same day. it will, however, work its magic the following day
#5 NARSissist Wanted Eyeshadow Palette by NARS
I love nude eyeshadow palettes! And my top pick at the moment is one by NARS.
What it does: a go-to nude eyeshadow palette for all eye colors
What I love about it: some colors are unique, and look AMAZING especially on a tan skin. you can see how much I used it in a month
How I use it: I literally use my fingers to apply the colors: hence the messy look of the palette, sorry!
